Software choice
Software choice
I have been a ham for over 50 years. Old school for sure! I want to buy the SDR play for a Mac, primarily for listening to sigs from 3.5 to 30 megs...occasionally am broadcast. What software is recommended for this type of listening. One other important matter...my computer skills are weak. I will probably have someone load the software required!
Thanks for any guidance

Re: Software choice
Hello Paul,
I'm using my SDRPlay on a Mac in conjunction with CubicSDR. The latest version can be downloaded at https://github.com/cjcliffe/CubicSDR/releases
Despite the fact that it's still an alpha version, it runs very stable and already has a lot of features, perfect for your intended use.
Additionally, you will need the OS X API/driver from the SDRPlay website http://sdrplay.com/macdl.php
That should get you up and running in no time.
