AM modulation monitor software

Post by mark. » Mon Feb 04, 2019 3:14 am

In the link attached I see this modulation monitoring program working alongside an SDR program. I was wondering if anyone out here knows of another piece of software or one being developed that might be cheaper than the REA setup in the vid and would be compatible with the SDRplay. For what it does it doesn't seem to me to be overly complex ( said the non-coder ) :D

Hi Mark. I'm a bit confused - what does this do that an SDR cannot do itself? Is it not just receiving off-air signals and displaying the spectrum? Sorry if I've missed something obvious (it wouldn't be the first time...).

Just to clear any possible confusion, the program in question is only the upper left corner window. SDRuno does not monitor positive and negative modulation peaks and display them separately in a meter or bargraph form. That is the main function of that program. It has nothing to do with frequency of the audio or spectrum. Just peak levels. The icing on the cake is the oscilloscope display in the middle.
