RSPduo and other software

Hope this isn't too stupid a question. Will the RSPduo work with two different SDR programs (say HDSDR and SDR Console) at the same time as two separate RXs? Or is SDRuno the only program that can be used? I looked at several of the videos and it seems SDRuno specific but thought I would ask.

Right now, only SDRuno and dump1090 (ADS-B) work with the RSPduo in dual tuner mode. Over time more software will become available. We will produce an ExtIO plugin for ExtIO compatible applications.

Newbie question here....will SDR duo work using other apps with just ONE tuner besides the two I downloaded from website (SDR_Play_SDRuno_Installer_1.23.exe and SDRplay_ADS-B_Installer_1.4.exe)...IOW are there 3rd party apps besides HamRadioDeluxe that I can experiment with using the Duo? A list or a few URLs to any would be very much appreciated. Aboust to unpack my Duo that is on my dront porn in its box frsh from the UPS man and HRO/.

For my application I need a ExtIO dll so that I can use 2 phase coherent receivers directly in Linrad. I don't want the unnecessary step of streaming baseband data from SDRUno. This is for adaptive EME with an Xpol system on 432 MHz.

I hope that it comes soon.

I have repeatedly told myself not to be among the first to buy a newly released piece of equipment! I did not follow my own advice and purchased an RSPduo on the first day of its release. I had planned to use one tuner for general SWLing and the other as a signal source for a panadapter/waterfall display. While I have been able to use the RSPduo as a SW receiver and am very impressed, my principal purpose in buying the unit was for the panadapter/waterfall display use in contesting and DXing. Not to worry, I was told that software to implement this would be quickly forthcoming. The EXTIO plugin seems to be taking much longer than first promised. I think I should follow my advice and not buy a piece of equipment until the necessary software is available.

it is great that when you launch new devices - they are always ready and mature. Way to go!

But, you tend to do it with very slim, insufficient software support.

I think that SDRuno support only is not enough for product launch. It should be also EXTIO and Linux at least as well.

SDRuno is my favourite when listening.

But, SDRuno is not good at all for automated operations. My RSP's are running 24h full-time, controlled by homebrew SW. For that i need to use HDSDR.

Why HDSDR, not SDRuno? Look at HDSDR command line options in attached image. Those few parameters open a lot of possibilities.

The launch of the RSPduo was timed to coincide with a major Ham radio event at Dayton, Ohio. We made it clear at the launch what software was available and what our development plans were. People therefore had a choice whether they buy the product or wait. Unfortunately, no mater what software we have when we launch a product, we will never have everything that people want and someone will be unhappy.
The development of the ExtIO plugin is currently on-going and we hope to have something available in the relatively near future. I'm afraid that I cannot be more specific than that.

You can do everything you want with SDRuno right now. Use one tuner for general SWLing and the other for your panadapter. Use Tuner 1 (Hi-Z or Ant A) for SWLing in one instance of SDRuno and then use another SDRuno instance with Tuner 2 to connect to your ham rig IF, RX out or SDR switch as a panadapter. Each VRX has the ability to set audio outputs and separate Omni-Rig or Cat support.

If you are transmitting you will need to put an RF protector on the Tuner 1 antenna port or you will blow out the front end. For Tuner 2 input protection will be built into the SDR switch or the IF or Rx out of the ham rig.

Yes yes, but now i think it's about the time to put the Stetsons to upper shelf and concentrate in coding I believe RSPduo does have a LOT of unleashed power and possibilities after some critical missing links are available.

I trust that you have internal targets, schedules and deadlines set, even though you are not publishing them. Without those SW development just doesn't run. (Been on maker side, now ordering things.)

Can't use my RSPduo for that - with double receivers the result would be way better.
