Ubuntu 18.04, RSP1/1A/2/Duo running GQRX

Your YT video on "Non Windows: Getting Started", compiling CubicSDR and the RSP was a great video.
I successfully got CubicSDR and my RSP1 running correctly.
I needed to blacklist the RSP1 to be recognized correctly to make CubicSDR work with the RSP1.

See Support ticket # #604009:

"The above procedures are unified across all RSP device models. When you plugged in the RSP1 did you reboot the machine?

Please type in

lsmod | grep msi

hopefully this will not return anything, but if it does you will need to blacklist the modules. On Ubuntu you will need to add the following lines to the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file...

blacklist sdr_msi3101
blacklist msi001
blacklist msi2500

Then reboot for the blacklist to take effect."

This blacklisting allowed the RSP1 to be recognized in CubicSDR.

Questions

1) You should mention the blacklist procedure in other documentation (your website, other YT videos, etc.) to help others with possible similar problems.

2) Please create a similar YT video for the GQRX software to allow any RSP1/1A/2/Duo to run successfully.
IMO, GQRX has a better interface than CubicSDR.

Sincerely,

BB

Thanks for your comments.

We have added the blacklist information and we will be doing other videos related to this for Gnu Radio, GQRX, etc.
