Notable improvement in IF AGC action with SDRplay Ver. 1.3

Post by glovisol » Thu Mar 21, 2019 4:41 pm

New IF AGC to add user configurability and reduce the visual disturbance caused by rapidly
changing strong signals, taken from SDRplay SDRuno release notes
Improved IF AGC performance & stability is demonstrated by PC screen below. With previous SDRplay versions, rapid amplitude changes, as current in SSB signals, would make the noise baseband on the display dance up and down with a delayed rithm to the voice modulation of the SSB signal received. This problem was daily noticeable in my QTH due to a nearby radio ham operating in the 80 m band. This problem has now completely disappeared with Ver. 1.3.
