HDSDR and RSP1A not working properly after install.

Post by Missiletech2u » Tue Mar 19, 2019 3:24 pm

Today, I downloaded and installed the HDSDR package from the SDRPlay website. I am running Windows 7 pro 64 bit. I currently have two other SDR programs installed on the same computer, SDR-Uno and SDR-Console. When I start HDSDR, it appears to work correctly. The GUI comes up, I hear static, I see the waterfall, everything looks normal. Just one thing, there are no broadcast stations coming in on my receive. The SDR works great with the other two programs. I have tried to tune into the local 2 meter ham repeater with no luck. I can hear activity on the 2 meter repeater with my 2 meter transceiver.
One thing I noticed is that the new programs installed listed near the start tab, shows the newly installed program as: HDSDR RSP2. I have a RSP1A. Any advise or help would be appreciated.

Is the highlighted .dll in your HDSDR install folder?

Thank you for your reply. I believe the correct file is there. I am including a screenshot. Since I posted the original problem, I have uninstalled and reinstalled using the individual (long way around). I have downloaded and installed the individual API drivers and EXTIO plugins, then installed HDSDR directly from the HDSDR website. It appears to be working correctly except for the audio. I do not hear anything but static. There is no audio but there appears to be a signal on the waterfall. I tuned to a local AM broadcast channel.

Hello missiletech2u,
Can you post a screenshot of your HDSDR window when it is open. To control the radio settings, it is necessary to open the ExtIO control window. It would help if you could show this window also.

Sincerely

Thank you for your reply. I am including a screenshot of HDSDR running with my SDR (RSP1A). Hope this helps. I am tuned to a local AM broadcast station. (1440 AM). There is static but no broadcast audio.

Not sure what you mean by the control settings for SDRPlay, HDSDR or RSP1A?

If I'm reading it right I think you are tuned to 1440 MHz, Missiletech.

Yes, I am tuned to a local broadcast station (1440 AM) I hear static but no modulated audio. As you can see on the screen, the waterfall shows a strong signal at 1440 mhz.

Missiletech: Andy is trying to tell you that you are tuned to the wrong frequency. You should be tuned to 1440 KHz or 1.440 Mhz.
With HDSDR running type: 1 4 4 0 Enter
