RSPduo and DAB decoding

Post by Patrick73 » Sat Mar 30, 2019 7:40 pm

Hi there,

Could you name some DAB decoders that support the RSPduo ?
I only know Qt-DAB but I suppose there are some other ones ... (welle.io does not, nothing mentionned about QIRX v2.0.1).

Thanks !

Hi Patrick,

Just read your post. Although it is some weeks old, in case you are interested in making a test with qirx and a revised RSP2_tcp, you could contact me on clem at softsyst.com. I would be interested as well, because I do not have a RSPduo at my disposal.

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for PM. Unfortunately, I seem not to have enough reputation to use the "Compose Message" feature to respond to your PM: "... you are not authorised to use this feature.... may need to participate more.... ".

Maybe it will be the easiest if you send me a normal email to the address which I wrote in the last posting here. I will be happy to provide you with a detailed description of how the test could work.

Sorry for this,
Clem

Hello Clem,

I also have a rspDUO and at the moment i'm using sdrplayDAB (version of QT-DAB especially for the rsp family from J. van Katwijk) for the reception/decoding of DAB signals.

If you need more people to test qirx with a revised tcp let me know and I will contact you on your email.

Best regards,

Martien, PD1G

Gentlemen,

I'm jumping into your interesting post.

I do have an RSPduo and I'm very eager to conduct experiments with software modules to decode DAB.
I will gladly be a guinea pig for Clem as well if there is an interest on your side :-) Basically let me know what software module I should install and I will let you know what the outcome is on the RSP.

Cheers,
Vincent

Hi,

Does RSP1A support Welle.io DAB+ player yet? I live in Norway and only local broadcast radio to listen to is DAB+ in my country.

I have downloaded qt-dab , sdrplayDab and dabradio, but realy like the Welle interface. Sadly if this DAB+ player is not supported by SDRPlay devices.

Kind regards,
Alexander
