Chinese copies now on eBay?
Chinese copies now on eBay?
I've just seen this item from a supplier in Hong Kong selling on eBay, it definitely looks like a 'Chinese copy' to me:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1KHZ-2GHZ-SD ... :rk:9:pf:0
I wouldn't risk my money on one, it's not like they're a fraction of the price of the real thing or anything, and I doubt
there is any support of any kind. They've even used some SDR Uno screen dumps in there.
Alan.

Also, you never know what other code hides in them.

Re: Chinese copies now on eBay?
Funny:
The Chinese text says 100 kHz-2 GHz.
The English text below: 1 KHZ-2GHZ.
The label on the box: 10 kHz-2GHz
They don't know themselves what they sell.
What should "FE" be? (SDR-FE-PLAY). Far East Play?
More precise: An RTL-SDR(!) Far East Receiver.

The produce seems to exist, bu if you look at where it does ship to, you discover they deliver nowhere!

Re: Chinese copies now on eBay?
The Chinese has a 12 bit, the original a 14 bit ADC.

This is a clone of the original RSP1. Why on earth would anyone pay more for a clone of a product that was discontinued over a year ago and is more expensive than its replacement?
