I have been trying to purchase the USA-Satcom XRIT Decoder software by going to the website for a while. The contact form is broken or no one responds, I have purchased all parts and installed, really need the software.

Were you successful in contacting USA-Satcom via there web form? I have been trying for weeks to purchase the software and cannot get the contact form to work. If you you were successful could you say how you made contact with them.

The source e-mail address type may be an issue. For some reason there are e-mail accounts, such as Apple e-mail accounts, that do not work with the USA-Satcom site. GMail e-mail accounts are known to work to communicate on the USA-Satcom site.

I see there's an EMWIN button on the decoder software - does this also spit out the National Weather Service text products (forecast / watches / warnings) or would something else be needed for that?

The GOES satellites do carry EMWIN information and EMWIN information including text for outlooks, advisories, and discussions as well as NWS charts are made available through the USA-Satcom GOES XRIT Ingestor. Thanks! In doing some research I found that Zephyrus http://www.big-z.com is making a mesh tuned directly to the 1691 frequency so I sent them a note too...

I like the low-cost part, which is why this caught my eye I'll be trying with my existing RTL first using Z's mesh antenna instead of the 2.4 version, since the price should be the same, and using the free GOES decoders instead of USA's to see if I can go super-cheap instead...
