ZeusRadio may soon be compatile with SDRPLay
Re: ZeusRadio may soon be compatile with SDRPLay
Am I correct that this software appears to cater only to the HF spectrum? From the YouTube video that would appear to be the case.

Yes, however, as part of this process we've been discussing with the author about extending the frequency range and bandwidth support. Obviously their main priority is to make sure it still works well with their hardware and the other existing platforms that they support.
It's an ongoing process but we hope to be able to give more details soon.
Best regards,
SDRplay Support

Nice! software for shortwave and hf ham radio
Gave it another try,got it working with the newest sdrplay api driver
My settings:
set audio buffer duration to 0.45 sec
uncheck enable tuner AGC
sample rate 0.20
if mode Zero IF
if bandwidth 200khz
I would definitely purchase this software if ZeusRadio author extends the frequency range and bandwidth.

Re: ZeusRadio may soon be compatile with SDRPLay
I've been able to get the Zeus Radio software to display signals from my SDRplay panadapter application. However, I cannot get it to synch with my transceiver (TS-590S) as I do with HDSDR and SDR-Radio Console. I downloaded the file for OmniRig, but no joy. Any ideas?
thanks..Harry

What file/files have to go in Zeus radio directory to make it work?

I installed the SDRplay ExIO file in the Zeus Radio directory.n5xed wrote:What file/files have to go in Zeus radio directory to make it work?
To launch the program I click on the ExIO icon, not the ZS-1 application icon. This brings up a list of .dlls of which you click on the ExIO_SDRplay.dll and the application starts.
Seems to work rather well. Under settings, you can even click on a button to display the SDRplay control panel. Again, however, I need a way to synch the app with my transceiver using OmniRig.

I also failed with Zeus Radio.
When I try the Extio tab I get the message "can't capturing to voice" Application error.
Perhaps some kind person can give us a simple "outline" procedure. It is always so fascinating to get what may be termed a "new" radio.

Not sure if I'm that "kind person" but here is what I did.static wrote:I also failed with Zeus Radio.

(a) Downloaded the latest version of the software and unzipped it.
(b) When unzipped there are the following: ExtIO, Hermes, HiQSDR, IQ Player, Odyssey shortcuts and ZeusRadio application.
(c) I installed the SDRplay ExtIO in the Zeus Radio directory.
(d) If you click on the ZeusRadio application you will get a message that the device cannot be found. Instead, click on the ExtIO shortcut and a list of .dlls will appear.
(e) Click on the SDRplay ExtIO.
(f) The application should start.
(g) Go to Settings and make the appropriate selections.
(h) Click the "power" button.
Note that I'm attempting to use this software with my SDRplay as a panadapter. Hence, I'm not concerned about audio. Instead I want the ability to see the signals, sync the software, SDR and rig together and do point and click tuning. My challenge is getting it to sync.
Hope this helps.
