Congratulations to the 6000th member of SDRplay Facebook Group and other news

Over on the independent SDRplay Facebook Group, Paul Jones alerted us to the fact that they had their 6000th member join them – congratulations to George Melton of Georgia who was on the point of upgrading from an RTL dongle to an RSP when he was awarded an RSP2 as a special acknowledgment of the continued popularity and usefulness of the group.  Many thanks to Paul, Preben and all the others who so regularly provide practical help to newcomers to the world of SDRs. You can join the SDRplay Facebook group by going to: https://www.facebook.com/groups/sdrplay/

Our own forum on http://www.sdrplay.com/community/ has 3000 registered users and is also a rich source of advice.  Newcomers do have to wait for a moderator to check their posts,  as unlike Facebook, it’s easier for unwanted spammers to sneak in and cause havoc!

We continue to get emails from people doing new and interesting things with their RSP…

Erik,  ON4PB sent us a screenshot of his 144 MHz Earth-Moon-Earth reception using WSJTX in JT65B mode with a 10 element yagi, SDR Console V3 and his own rotator software:

Over on Youtube, almost daily we see posts of recorded RSP-based activities. This was an interesting one from OH8EFI in Lapland who recorded distant analog TV signals propagated due to meteor scatter, on his RSP1:  https://youtu.be/MY8loG1NiX4

A quick update on SDRuno V 1.14 – we are still working on it! It has suffered some delays but it will come out in the coming weeks.
